Hi everyone! My name is Keegan Walsh and I was on the Men’s Swimming & Diving team from 2018-2022. I finished my eligibility this past March and am currently pursuing my career in finance. This summer, I am interning at Bank of America Private Bank in Atlanta.
Typically, when you think of Bank of America, you think of the financial centers near your house where you deposit money, apply for loans, etc. However, Bank of America has eight lines of business and that is just one of them. The line of business I am working in is the Private Bank, where we serve and advise ultra-high net worth clients with their complex financial needs. These individuals/families meet a minimum net worth requirement of $3 million dollars and have a team of multiple advisers in areas of expertise. As a client of the Private Bank, you are served with investment management and solutions, estate planning, trust needs, large personal loans, and wealth strategies.
Throughout my 10 week internship, I do a three week rotation of the main three teams: investments, relationship management, and trust. I am learning so much and would not have been prepared for this opportunity without the help and guidance from The Georgia Way, the Terry College of Business, and Georgia Swimming & Diving!
