Caroline is a fifth-year student-athlete and former member of the UGA Women’s Tennis team. She is currently majoring in Marketing and had the opportunity to participate in an internship with IBERIABANK in New Orleans, Louisiana during the summer of 2017.
This summer, with the assistance of UGA’s Leadership grant, I worked as a Marketing intern at IBERIABANK in New Orleans, Louisiana. I was able to explore my creativity and innovativeness by making digital media advertisements for the bank’s social media accounts. In addition to creating this content, I learned how to generate information on the bank’s website. Because I have also pursued a certificate in Legal Studies at UGA, the General Council of IBERIABANK saw an opportunity to enhance my experience by bringing me to a federal court trial that the bank was involved in with a former employee. I truly got the best of both worlds with such a hands-on experience in marketing a business and a unique glance into the life of a litigation attorney. I was able to do all of this while being back in my hometown and spending time with my family! I could not have asked for a better summer, and I am very appreciative for the generosity that the Athletic Association extends through the Leadership grant!
