Tori Harper Appointed to SEC Volleyball Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University of Georgia junior middle blocker Tori Harper has been named to the 2024 Southeastern Conference Volleyball Community Service team, the league announced Wednesday.

Harper, a native of Reno, Nevada, has partnered with UGA’s counseling services and athletic department to promote mental health resources for student-athletes. She is an advocate and a strong voice for student-athletes’ mental health and well-being. She has volunteered at food banks and soup kitchens, helping to sort donations, pack food boxes, and serve meals to those in need. She also has volunteered at youth sports camps, leading team-building exercises to teach kids about trust, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.

She has been a member of the Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll and the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.

The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams for all 22 league-sponsored sports. The Community Service Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.
