- Research the companies in attendance before you go. Know companies’ missions and how you could make an impact in their organization.
- Visit companies’ websites to discover what jobs have recently been posted. Try to find a potential opening you could fill and tailor your resume appropriately.
- Confidently introduce yourself. A firm handshake goes a long way.
- Ask questions that leave the professional with a good impression. Demonstrate your interest in the company.
- Ask when and how you can follow up with them.
- Send a follow-up “thank you” email and connect on LinkedIn.
