With over 55 community service hours this year, McKenzie Maloney is dedicated to enriching the lives of those around her and bettering the community.
She organized a drive and donated items for Taeden Johnson, an Athens fire survivor, organized and participated in teacher and staff appreciation day, and organized and participated in Kindness Week. She wrote letters to the elderly in the fall as encouragement during the pandemic and was a Pen Pal to a resident at the University Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She donated clothing to Project Safe Thrift Store supporting women leaving domestic abuse, and donated books for Books for Keeps.
Maloney participated in the Butterfly Dreams 5K Fundraiser and donated horse grooming supplies to Butterfly Dreams Therapeutic Riding School. She has been involved with numerous other efforts including Shopping with a Bulldog, donating toy and food during the holidays and personal hygiene items for the Dawgs to Dawgs program, and organizing meal for the Mercy Clinic, among many others.
