Sydney Gilliam is a junior on the UGA Volleyball Team. She is majoring in Journalism and had the opportunity to participate in an internship with Wedding in Athens during the summer of 2017.
This past summer, through the Leadership grant, I was able to further my knowledge and skills regarding my major. I was a member of the “blogging” team with Weddings in Athens. This internship along with the Leadership Grant allowed me to focus on the skills I will need to pursue my career in Public Relations. The internship also gave me the opportunity to write and promote different aspects of weddings. Brides are always looking for the newest trends and styles to make their wedding one of a kind and I helped make this happen. The leadership grant made all of this possible!
