I chose to attend UGA because…
I wanted to play basketball for Andy Landers and be a part of the historical women’s basketball program. I also had a strong interest in sports science and its use in medicine, and Georgia has a strong kinesiology program.
My favorite things to do on campus are…
… relax at East Campus Village dining hall, attend UGA sporting events and relax at the intramural fields.
When I have free time, I like…
… to spend time at the Boys and Girls Clubs, play with guide dogs, enjoy downtown Athens and watch Netflix!
The craziest thing I’ve done is…
… spend an entire day studying at the dining hall.
My favorite place to study is…
… Miller Learning Center.
My favorite professor is…
… Mary Bedell in the genetics department.
If I could share an afternoon with anyone, I would love to share it with…
I would spend time with my deceased grandfather (Neil Butler, first African-American mayor of Gainesville, Florida, and first African-American graduate from the UF nursing program) and ask him about the challenges he faced as an African-American.
If I knew I could not fail, I would…
… cure cancer.
If money was not a consideration, I would love to…
… visit every country in the world.
After graduation, I plan to…
… attend medical school.
The one UGA experience I will always remember will be…
… going to the Elite 8 of the NCAA Tournament.
