Junior guard De’Mauri Flournoy has been named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, it was announced by the league office Thursday afternoon.
Flournoy is Georgia’s leader off the court, routinely volunteering in community service projects at elementary schools in the Athens area. The Villa Rica, Ga., native serves on the Southeastern Conference Leadership Council and is the team’s representative on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee at the University of Georgia. She was also selected to participate in the NCAA Inclusion Forum this April.
On the court, Flournoy has scored in double figures in eight of the last 10 games, including a career-high 19 points against Vanderbilt. Flournoy is third on the team in scoring this season with 9.2 points per game.
